Day 1: Arrival to Tarangire National Park
Today your safari adventure begins with a pickup from your Arusha hotel to enjoy a scenic 2.5-hour drive through stunning landscapes and local villages. Spend the day exploring Tarangire National Park, home to vast elephant herds, towering baobabs and rare tree-climbing pythons. As the evening falls, head to Africa Safari Manyara Escarpment where a safari comfort tent with a private bathroom awaits. Cool off with a refreshing swim in the pool before relaxing under the African night sky.
Day 2: Game Drive Lake Manyara National Park
Embark on a full-day game drive in Lake Manyara, a park of waterfalls, hot springs and breathtaking views. Spot tree-climbing lions, baboons, elephants and over 400 bird species, including flamingos shimmering on the lake. Explore the park’s varied habitats, from lush forest to open savannah. End the day at Africa Safari Manyara Escarpment, where you can relax in comfort, enjoy the pool and take in the stunning Ngorongoro Highlands.
Day 3: Game Drive Serengeti National Park
Today we drive into the legendary Serengeti, known for its forests, vast savannahs and the Great Migration of 1.5 million herbivores and predators. In the evening, relax at Africa Safari Serengeti Ikoma, ideally located between Seronera, Grumeti and Ikorongo Reserves. Enjoy peaceful birdwatching, observe grazing impalas, or simply soak in the sounds of the African bush as your safari adventure continues.
Day 4: Game Drive & Walking Safari
Begin with a game drive in Ikona Wildlife Management Area, home to elephants, colobus monkeys, leopards and kudu. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walking safari with a ranger, discovering the smaller details of the bush before ending the day with a sundowner in the wild. Overnight at Africa Safari Ikoma comfort camp, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.
Day 5: Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro
Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti’s endless plains, teeming with wildlife from giraffes to zebras. In the late afternoon, journey to Ndutu/South Serengeti, renowned for the calving season of the Great Migration, where thousands of wildebeests are born and predators roam nearby. Overnight at Africa Safari South Serengeti, enjoying the sights, sounds and serenity of the African bush.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater
Wake early for breakfast before heading into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic crater, home to around 30,000 large mammals. Spot the Big Five, including the rare African black rhino, as well as elephants, zebras, hyenas, and more. After an unforgettable game drive amid lush landscapes and open plains, drive to Africa Safari Arusha to relax and reflect on your incredible day in this iconic conservation area.
Day 7: Arrival in Zanzibar
When you arrive in Zanzibar, our local staff will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. Spend your first night at Shaba Boutique Hotel, a charming property set in a beautifully restored building in the heart of historic Stone Town. Relax and unwind after your journey, soaking in the island’s tropical atmosphere and timeless charm before continuing your Zanzibar adventure.
Day 8: Prison Island Tour
Sail across the turquoise waters to Prison Island, a historic sanctuary just off Zanzibar’s coast. Discover its fascinating past as a former quarantine site and meet the island’s giant Aldabra tortoises, some over a century old. After exploring the coral-fringed shores and snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, return to the mainland and transfer to Reef & Beach Resort for your first night.
Day 9-10: Stone Town Tour
Stroll through the winding streets of Stone Town, the cultural heart of Zanzibar and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discover its rich history through visits to the old fort, the former slave market and the Sultan’s Palace, while soaking in the charm of Arabic, Indian, and African influences. After exploring this fascinating town, transfer to Reef & Beach Resort, where you’ll spend the rest of your trip surrounded by swaying palms, ocean breezes, and pure island serenity.
Day 11: Departure
This is the last day of your holiday! You can enjoy one last stroll on the white sandy beaches or spend a few more hours tanning in the tropical sun. Later, you will be transferred to Zanzibar Airport to fly back home.
