Choosing Your Route
The route you choose is critical to your experience and success. We offer climbs on the most scenic and success-proven paths.
Machame Route (7 days): Known as the “Whiskey” route, it is popular for its beautiful scenery and excellent acclimatization profile. It is a steeper, more challenging climb that is highly rewarding.
Lemosho Route (8-9 days): Our highly recommended route. It begins on the remote western side of the mountain, offering stunning vistas and a longer approach for superior acclimatization, resulting in one of the highest summit success rates.
Rongai Route (6-7 days): The only route approaching from the north, near the Kenyan border. It is a more gradual ascent and is often drier than other routes, making it a good option during the rainy season.
The Journey Through Ecosystems
The climb up Kilimanjaro is a journey through five distinct climatic zones.
Cultivated Foothills: Begin your hike through lush villages and farms.
Rainforest Zone: Trek through a dense, misty montane forest alive with birds and colobus monkeys.
Heath and Moorland: Emerge above the clouds into open heathland with giant lobelias and senecios, with breathtaking views of the plains below.
Alpine Desert: Enter a harsh, lunar-like landscape of rock and scree, a test of your mental fortitude.
Arctic Summit Zone: Make your final push over ice and snow under a blanket of stars to reach the glorious summit at Uhuru Peak.
Your Challenge Awaits
Reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro is a physical and mental achievement that will stay with you forever. It is a journey of camaraderie, personal discovery, and incredible natural beauty.
